I don't mind that you aren't the marrying kind
Stones can be just as pretty as flowers to me
For they twinkle and flash all entwined in your hair
I myself am not fond of rosebushes nor their thorns
But I do enjoy the poignancy you find in them
Your words don't have to be pretty or wise
Mine are blunt and often mispronounced
From a brain that reads words the way they look
Rather then how they are spoken
And while you sing only of a broken heart
I can't stop speaking of a body full of lust
Being damaged or old isn't shameful
I enjoy sifting through pictures
And items of old
A life before mine is always fascinating
I am all three of those words
Neat (O), Tidy, (C), Correct in Behavior (D)
Nor do I mind your curses
They do roll nicely off the tongue
Arguments are bred from disagreements
And I wouldn't expect you to be silent
I want to hear what you have to say
Even if I shake my head in answer
Though your untruths are compulsive
Your lies would still make me sad
When I would eventually
Realize or, more likely, be told
That your words were false
So easily fooled was I
By my rose colored glasses
And your twisted words
That aside
I am glad you don't allow a man
To use you as his personal doormat
Could you help me do that too?
He's still stepping on me
A little girl with your smile would be lovely
As would a man who looks upon you lovingly
I only hope you will not be bothered
That I am a girl
Who offers her hand in friendship
To you who calls out
That she is not the marrying kind
Which I do not mind
Stones can be just as pretty as flowers to me
For they twinkle and flash all entwined in your hair

wow! This is very lovely! I like how well this compliments the theme, but also diverts to something of it's own nature! Very nice! c:
