Frank's pov

Scars…
Mine are beautiful because they represent all that I love even though they bring me pain

I press my lips together making it look like I have no mouth as the needle bit into my skin and scraped my hip bone. I had already gotten through three hours of pain no way was I gonna chicken out now, besides he was finishing the Gerard bird. Ten minutes later he had finished and was wiping away the blood, plasma, and ink.
"I'm guessin' you know how to take care of it?" he questioned an amused smile on his lips, seeing as I had filled my left arm with tattoos along with my fingers. I grinned back and nodded, gazing admiringly at my new tattoo, giggling when I realized that the fans would understand the birds. I couldn't wait to show my close friend Gerard who unfortunately had no tattoos on him. But then again he was beautiful because of his pale unpainted skin.
Many wonder why people get tattoos, thinking their simply a waste of money. My reason is that in their won way tattoos are beautiful and show what means most to you, literally wearing your heart on your sleeve you could say.
Yes I cannot say that beauty is the only pull for me for another thing is the pain of getting one. If the tattoo is large enough and you sit for a two/three hours your mind moves past the pain into a lulling trance you could say. It is a strange meditation I will admit but everyone does things differently and who is to say otherwise?
I take one last long look at my tattoo before allowing the man to do the needed things to protect it from infection and damage. After paying and leaving I cannot help but feel full of pride at my latest addition, very happy to have it.
Theme # 15 is Silence.

This is the third part of Scars series that I started writing ages ago.
Here's the very beginning thing of it: [link]

I also got the idea for the story from this picture of Frank's tattoo:

Hope you enjoy it!
